Admission process to the Bachelor in Psychology
Prerequisites to apply
Our Bachelor's program is open to first-year high school students (who must have a French baccalaureate before the start of the academic year) or to students who have already completed a two-year course of higher education. It is also open to foreign students with the same prerequisites in their country of origin. There are no compulsory "specialties" to apply for, as the teaching of psychology mixes hard sciences (statistics, biology) with the necessary quality of written expression found in literary subjects.
Parallel admissions are possible for 2nd and 3rd year students, provided they can prove they have a baccalauréat and a licence 1 or 2 in psychology from a university (depending on the year of admission) before entering the school (Bachelor of Science 1 or 2 for foreign universities).
Stages in the admissions process
Applications are made outside ParcourSup on the ESPÉ's dedicated platform.
For admission to the 1st year, an initial selection is made on the basis of a letter of motivation explaining your application, grades from the second to the final year of secondary school, and teachers' comments.
For parallel admission in 2nd or 3rd year, an initial selection is made on the basis of a letter explaining your application, a CV and grades from your baccalauréat and bachelor's degree in psychology (first semester of L1 for admission to the ESPÉ in 2nd year, grades from L1 and first semester of L2 for admission to the ESPÉ in 3rd year).
Candidates admitted to the oral examination will be interviewed by a panel including at least one psychologist.
For entry in September 2025, the jury will meet once a month from January onwards.
Candidate selection criteria
The jury analyzes the applications by combining the objective academic aspects (grades), the written expression and reasoning skills demonstrated in the written submissions, and the human skills demonstrated during the interview.
The academic dimension is necessarily taken into account to ensure that the candidate will be able to successfully validate his or her courses. But the human dimension is of paramount importance, as we need to assess whether the candidate can cope with studying psychology (which is not like other studies) and then make a good mental health professional.
Application fees
The application fee is €50, non-refundable.
Tuitions fees
Bachelor of Science Psychologie : 8 000 € / year *
Tuition fees are applicable for the entire course and before the application of any scholarships.
*if payment in once. Tuitions fees are given for information and change over time

Professional experiences
In the first year
In addition to classroom teaching, students are encouraged to get involved in a community project with associations serving vulnerable groups. This is an opportunity for you to come face to face with the suffering of others, and to get involved in a project that has meaning beyond the educational aspect. In the second semester, you will spend one day a week as a volunteer. This experience will give rise to class work both on your position in the institution and, above all, on the psychological problems you encounter and how you feel about them.
You can also take part in an optional internship lasting from 1 to 3 months after the end of your course.
Second Year
Students are expected to get involved in the life of the school and join one of the student associations: from sport to humanitarian aid, from art to junior enterprise, you'll find a project that suits you and that you'll want to get involved in. And if not, it's up to you to create the association of your dreams.Your involvement with an association will enable you to develop skills such as self-confidence, teamwork and adaptability, while at the same time gaining concrete professional experience that will be valued by employers.
At the end of the course, an internship or fixed-term contract lasting 2 to 3 months will give you the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of corporate psychosociology. This experience will be the subject of an internship report, which will be taken back to the classroom during debriefing/feedback sessions to help you develop your position in the workplace.
Third Year
At the end of the course, a 2 to 3-month clinical observation placement enables you to accompany a psychologist or mental health professional in his or her day-to-day work. This placement can be in an institution or a company, such as a recruitment agency. This experience is supervised by a senior psychologist from the School, to initiate reflective work on your future posture as a therapist.
